Dr. Mehboob Ul Hassan is a Professor at the College of Business Administration at King Saud University. He possesses a unique combination of teaching and research in Islamic and mainstream economics. Dr. Hassan obtained his master's and PhD degrees from Nagoya City University, Japan, in 2004 and 2007, respectively, and did his Post-Doctrate research under a JSPS fellowship at Kyoto University, Japan, from 2008 to 2010. has worked at the renowned education and research institutions of Japan, Pakistan, UAE, and Saudi Arabia. His focused areas are Islamic Economics, Development Economics, Welfare Economics, Comparative Economics, and Islamic Banking and Finance. 

Previously, he worked as a Professor and Associate Dean of Business Administration at a university college in the United Arab Emirates. He has also served as Professor and Dean of the Department of Business Administration at SMI University, Karachi, Pakistan. He has served as a Foreign Professor at the Applied Economics Research Centre, University of Karachi, and the International Institute of Islamic Economics at the International Islamic University, Islamabad, Pakistan.
