High-energy compounds: structures and properties. Role of ATP. Coupled reactions. Energetic of carbohydrates and lipid metabolism. Redox reactions and potentials. Mitochondrial electron transport and mechanism of oxidative phosphorylation. Energetic of photosynthesis and transport across biomembranes.
