introduction/brief CV

Bio:

During my PhD studies, I worked on the synthesis of new amphiphilic poly(ionic liquid)s and their application in the petroleum industry. Ammonium-based poly(ionic liquid)s were synthesized due to their low cost compared to other families of ionic liquids and poly(ionic liquid)s. The synthesized poly(ionic liquid)s were applied in different petroleum industry applications such as demulsifiers for heavy crude oil emulsion, oil spill dispersants, corrosion inhibitors, and enhanced oil recovery. During my work on my Ph.D. thesis, I tried to learn many preparation techniques, such as silver and magnetite nanoparticles and their application in water treatment, epoxy coating, and oil spill remediation. After completing my Ph.D., I joined the Chemistry Department at King Saud University, Riyadh, as an Assistant Professor. My current research project is to synthesize new ionic liquids based on polymer wastes and modification of natural compounds.
