553 RDS Advanced Clinical Restorative Dentistry
These clinical courses are designed to expose the graduate student to clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of patients with complex restorative needs. It is designed to enable the postgraduate student to develop a range of advanced clinical skills (diagnostic and treatment skills) throughout the duration of the postgraduate program. All graduate students are expected to meet stated minimum clinical requirements for mastering clinical restorative dentistry. It is expected that the assessment and evaluation of postgraduate students’ performance will reflect this process; as well as the end result, providing evidence of the graduate student progress toward attainment of clinical proficiency. The total number and types of clinical procedures accomplished should be adequate for the development of proficiency in clinical restorative dentistry.
