PHL 620 Neuropharmacology

This course covers the principle of synaptic transmission and synaptic plasticity with particular emphasis on the cellular mechanism of learning and memory. This course will provide an overview of the pathogenesis and treatments of selected neurological and psychiatric disorders including Alzheimer's disease, learning and memory disorders, depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, addiction, eating and metabolic disorders, autism, brain and spinal cord injury.
