MIS 431 CLOUD COMPUTING

This course consists of directed readings in selected topics in MIS. These topics include the new current topics in the field or those that could not be included in the courses of management information systems.Cloud computing, big data and data mining are selected topics for this course.
Cloud computing has become a major commercial area for Internet product development and activity. Cloud computing services are becoming ubiquitous and are being adopted by a growing number of fields.
This course is designed to introduce the concepts of Cloud Computing as a new computing paradigm. The students will have an opportunity to explore the Cloud Computing various terminology, concepts, principles and applications. This course provides a hands-on comprehensive study of Cloud concepts and capabilities across the various Cloud service models including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS).  To provide students a sound foundation of the Cloud computing so that they are able to start using and adopting Cloud Computing services and tools in their real life scenarios.
Other topic covered in this course is Big data .The students will have an opportunity to explore terminology and the core concepts behind big data problems, applications, and systems and  about how Big Data might be useful in their business or career. It provides an introduction to one of the most common frameworks, Hadoop, that has made big data analysis easier and more accessible. Internet of things and its foundation are also .explained
