introduction/brief CV

Dr. Muath Q. Al-Ghadi is an Associate Professor of Developmental Biology, Reproductive Physiology and Assisted Reproductive Technologies at the Department of Zoology, King Saud University, and Director of the Laboratory Animal Care House. He holds a PhD from King Saud University and an MS and BVSc from Jordan University of Science and Technology. His expertise includes assisted reproductive technologies (IVF, ICSI, ROSI, SCNT), gamete and embryo cryopreservation, and genetic resource conservation of endangered wildlife species. He has led multiple government-funded projects, supervised numerous graduate students, and organized training workshops on in vitro fertilization and embryo production for various animal species.

areas of expertise

الخبرات

1- Extensive hands-on experience in gamete handling, ovum pick-up, and artificial insemination.

2- Skilled in in vitro embryo production, including oocyte maturation (IVM), in vitro fertilization (IVF), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), and in vitro culture (IVC) to advanced stages.

3- Proficient in advanced micromanipulation techniques such as somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT) and round spermatid nucleus injection (ROSI).

4- Expertise in cryopreservation of gametes and embryos (sperm freezing, oocytes and embryos vitrification), supporting germplasm banking and conservation programs.

5- Applied modern reproductive protocols including estrous synchronization, ovarian stimulation, and embryo transfer (ET).

6- Strong background in assessing oocyte and embryo quality using microscopy and advanced imaging techniques.

7- Contributed to the development of innovative approaches using nanotechnology and bioactive supplements to enhance reproductive efficiency in mammals.
