M. Anwar Hossain is an Associate Professor in the Department of Software Engineering, College of Computer and Information Sciences at King Saud University (KSU), Riyadh, KSA, since 2010. He obtained his master degree in Computer Science from the University of Ottawa, Canada, in 2005 and Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the same University in 2010. His current research includes multimedia surveillance and privacy, internet of things, cloud computing, and ambient intelligence. He has authored/co-authored over 100 research articles. Dr. Hossain has co-organized several IEEE/ACM workshops including IEEE ICME AAMS-PS 2011-13, IEEE ICME AMUSE 2014, ACM MM EMASC-2014, IEEE ISM CMAS-CITY2015, IEEE ICME MMCloudCity-2016, and IEEE ISM EMASC-2017 workshop. He served as a guest editor of Springer Multimedia Tools and Applications journal, International Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks, and Springer Multimedia Systems journal. Currently, he is an Associate Editor of Springer Computing and IEEE Access Journal. He has secured several grants for research and innovation. He is a senior member of IEEE and ACM.
