Course Description:
This course addresses reading practice to help students understand texts at the advanced level. It also includes practice of a variety of reading skills including critical thinking reading skills, vocabulary development skills, and comprehension skills focusing on: skimming and scanning for information, close reading, summarizing texts, inferring information, etc. Special emphasis is laid on key words to understand sentences and text meanings and discern main ideas and relevant details.
