Dr. Khalid Ahmed S. Alhazzani is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the College of Pharmacy, King Saud University (KSU), Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where he has been a faculty member since 2018. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Biochemistry at Almaarefa University. Dr. Alhazzani holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Medicine and Pharmacogenomics from Nova Southeastern University, USA, and specializes in pharmacology, toxicology, and pharmacogenomics.

 

His research focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms behind disease progression, particularly in angiogenesis and metastasis, with a particular emphasis on protein-tyrosine kinases, matrix metalloproteinases, and therapeutic toxicities. Dr. Alhazzani is dedicated to developing novel targeted therapeutics to improve the efficacy and safety of cancer treatments while addressing challenges posed by non-specific therapeutic agents.

 

Dr. Alhazzani has authored numerous scientific publications and regularly presents at international conferences. He is committed to advancing both research and teaching in pharmacology and toxicology, and his academic contributions have earned him several honors, including multiple excellence awards from King Saud University. He is also an active member of several academic committees and has received various research grants for his pioneering work in the field.

Dr. Khalid Ahmed Saad Alhazzani is an expert in the field of pharmacology and toxicology, with a particular focus on pharmacy education and academic development. He currently serves as the Head of the Course Reports Review Committee and the Assessment Unit Supervisor in the Pharmacy Education Unit at King Saud University’s College of Pharmacy, roles he has held since 2021. Additionally, he has contributed to the academic growth of the university as the Supervisor of the Alumni Unit (2018-2020) and a member of several committees, including the Annual Report Committee and Graduate Students' Affairs Committee in the Pharmacology & Toxicology Department (2018-2022). Dr. Alhazzani is also involved in shaping the future of pharmacy education through his work on the Study Plans, Programs, and Curriculum Committee for the Bachelor’s studies in the department. His extensive involvement in academic committees reflects his commitment to improving educational standards and supporting the development of graduate students.
