My name is Khalid AlGhenaim, In 2000, I attended West Virginia University to study in the graduate program for public administration. I successfully completed my Master’s degree at WVU in 2002 and graduated with first class honors. After completing my studies, I returned to my country to work for the Institute of Public Administration (IPA), which is the largest institution of its kind in Saudi Arabia. The purpose of this institute is to train government employees to make them more proficient in their current positions. I have completed my Master’s degree at MTSU in Human Performance in 2013 and I have achieved my goal when I got my Ph.D. in Leisure Studies, from Middle Tennessee State University, December 2013. I think I’ll be able to go back to my country and impart the knowledge that I have learned to make changes in my country. I would like to be a leader in the form of an educator. As an educator I would be able to transfer knowledge to the younger generation that will be the future of my country. I believe that by acquiring my Ph.D. in the United States that I can be a more effective and respected educator that my students will look up to, and perhaps even enjoy learning from. I had a teacher that once told me that there were endless possibilities in the world. He also taught me to continue to challenge myself with every day that comes. He made me realize that I should never give up. This teacher changed me. It is because of him that I continue to push myself daily and decided to come to America for the second time to continue to accomplish the goals I have set for myself. I feel lucky to have met someone that could impact my life in this way. I hope in the future I can follow in this teacher’s footsteps and make a difference in the lives of others like he made in mine
