IS622 :Advanced Topics in Information Security

Tackle advanced topics in information security to expose the PhD student to the latest trend in information assurance topics and research. Topics include security and risk management, authentication, authorization, security architecture and design,  security for networks and telecommunications, application security, investigation and forensics and legal  considerations.
 
Textbook:

• The course is not based on specific textbook, but several research papers

Grading:		10 In-class Participation 30 Presentations
			20 term exam
		40 Final exam (Open book)

 
Objective: 

• Expose the student to search, think, present, write and discuss research topics in information assurance.
• Prepare the student with the proper skills and methods of preparing his/her PhD proposal and research
