Dr. Shalaby is currently employed as professor in the department of Pharmaceutical Analysis, College of Pharmacy, King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Shalaby obtained a master degree (2003) and PhD (2005) in Analytical Chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University (Egypt). She also was employed as a post doctoral research fellow in Department of Pharmacal Sciences, Harrison School of Pharmacy, Auburn University, Alabama, USA by a grant awarded by the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education (2008-2009).  Dr. Shalaby has received several awards for research and academic excellence. Dr. Shalabyis interested in different branches of analytical chemistry mainly; Pharmaceutical Analysis and Quality Control; Forensic Analysis; Chromatography and Separation Techniques; Chemometry, Method Development and Optimization. She has published over fifty peer-reviewed papers and several research abstracts/posters at scientific international conferences. Dr. Shalaby is also a reviewer of several journals specialized in Analytical Chemistry.
