CHS 382 Fundamentals of Health Education

This course will introduce the learners to concepts fundamental to health education and to a larger extent, health promotion. To help shape the future of the profession of health education, students need to know where the profession has been and where it is now. Thus, an overview of the evolution and development of health education will be given. The course will focus on some health education models and approaches, so the students can obtain a better understanding of theories. The study of health communication will be highlighted to provide the learners with the effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
