The principal goals of a sound clinical mycology laboratory are to learn how to efficiently isolate and to accurately identify
the suspected etiological agents of fungal infection.

The following points will be addressed:
-Appropriate sample/specimen collection
- Correct processing of the specimen
-Inoculation of specimens onto suitable culture media
- Laboratory techniques used for the identification of Fungal Infections
