Nadia Al-Ghreimil is an Assistant Professor at King Saud University. Born in Germany, she completed her primary school education there and is fluent in both German and English. She received her B.S. in Computer Applications from the King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi-Arabia, in 1992. She earned her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from the George Washington University, Washington D.C, USA, in 1996 and 2003 respectively. Dr. Al-Ghreimil received the Prince Bandar Bin Sultan Prize for Educational Excellence after completing her M.S. degree.
In 1992, she worked as a system’s analyst at the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center. She joined King Saud University as a teaching assistant in 1993, where she received here scholarship for her graduate studies, then returned as an Assistant Professor. In the time from 2005-2023 she held various managerial positions, starting with Chair of the Department of Information Technology, Vice Dean of the College of Computer and Information Sciences, Dean of Science and Medical Studies Female Departments, and lastly General Director of the External Joint Supervision Program at King Saud University. Her research interests include computer graphics, visualization, image processing, UX design, web accessibility, deep learning, and NLP.
