I am serving in the Physics and Astronomy Department (قسم الفزياء و الفلك) at the College of Science. I am mostly involved in nuclear physics research, particularly focusing on nuclear structure, the development of nuclear techniques, and the applications of nuclear science.
In addition to general physics at the preparatory level (medical, engineering and computing colleges, e.g. Phys 103, 104, 109), I am regularly teaching Modern Physics (Phys 353), Nuclear Physics (Phys 481), Elementary particle physics (Phys 480) at the BSc level and advanced courses at the MSc and PhD level, e.g. Nuclear structure (Phys 580) and Advanced nuclear structure (Phys 680). I truly believe and engage in both foundational and specialized areas of physics education.
areas of expertise
Nuclear structure: internal configurations and structural properties of nuclei
Experimental nuclear techniques: design and development of detectors, e.g. time projection chambers, active gas targets
