Course Objectives
By the end of the course, students should be able to:
- Analyze words by dividing them into component parts: roots, prefixes, and suffixes
- Compose medical terms out of affixes and roots
- Tell the meaning of medical terms
- Relate medical terms to the structure and function of the human body
- Be aware of spelling and pronunciation problems
- Compare and contrast different types of medical texts
- Reproduce the source text in target language
- Get familiar with different grammatical structures in medical fields
