This course expands and adds to basic knowledge of grammar, vocabulary, listening, speaking, and reading skills. However, my approach focuses heavily on the writing aspect as a student-identified skill to improve. I will be sharing examples, templates, articles, and more as we explore the writing process. Our main project will be an academic research project, with introductions and guidance on the broad aspects of a research paper. We will also study the purpose of writing: how to connect to the reader; flow; concision; summarizing; acknowledging the opposing viewpoint; and more.
