DEH 344 - Preventive Dentistry II (Practical)

Clinical study and practice of oral prophylactic procedures, with emphasis on areas of particular concern including: the knowledge and understanding of the necessary plan of preventive programs; education of patients in the practice of effective preventive dentistry, diet analysis and counseling procedures.

Week 1: Orientation
Week 2: Oral Hygiene Instructions: Tooth Brushing Techniques and Flossing
Week 3: Diet analysis and Counseling
Week 4: Topical Fluoride Application
Week 5: Dental Sealant Application
Week 6: Practice on 1st patient
Week 7: Practice on 2nd patient
Week 8: Practice on 3rd patient
