Research Methodology and Biostatistics CLS 601
This doctoral level course is divided into two modules (1-Biostatistics and 2-Research Methodology). It provides the students with the basic skills required to conduct scientific research. The biostatistics module is intended to provide the students with basic concepts about data handling, descriptive statistics, sampling size, statistical power, study design, and hypothesis testing. The other module covers many aspects of research methodology including research study design, biomedical (in vitro) experimental design, research hypothesis formulation and proposal writing. This module also touches on fundamental ethical principles in research as well as the basic elements for writing a scientific manuscript.
