introduction/brief CV

I obtained my Ph.D. degree in Environmental Soil Chemistry from King Saud University Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (KSU) in 2017. I am currently working at the Soil Science Department,  College of Food and Agricultural Sciences, KSU. I am the Manager of Waste Resources Laboratory, KSU. I am also serving as a Scientist in the Saudi Biochar Research Group (https://saudibiochar.net/about-us/). During my stay at KSU, I have been involved in various research projects related to engineering/designing and fabricating low-cost adsorbents for soil and water remediation as well as carbon sequestration. I have accomplished 8 research projects, and currently working on 2 projects. As a young scientist, I have published 57 research documents including peer-reviewed international research articles, review articles, and book chapters. My research interests include (i) sustainable waste management by turning waste into valuable products to improve crop production, (ii) monitoring, risk assessment, and remediation of organic and inorganic pollutants in soil and water, (iii) developing green, efficient, and cost-effective strategies for to promote regenerative agriculture, and (iv) rehabilitation of degraded lands and enhancing crop productivity. I have extensive experience in biochar production technologies such as pyrolysis, hydrothermal, and carbonization processes. I have experience in designing, engineering, and modifying biochar for target applications in the agriculture and environment sectors. I have extensive knowledge of environmental sciences, global warming, soil science, and water science. I have extensive experience in designing and executing lab, field, and greenhouse experiments in the field of environmental and soil sciences.
