introduction/brief CV

Abdullah M. Al-Mayouf is a professor of physical chemistry at the chemistry department, of King Saud University. He has more than 30 years of experience in research activities. His research interests mainly focus on porous and nanomaterials, electrochemical methods, electro- and photo-catalysts, and surface modification. Presently, he is serving as head of Electrochemical Sciences Research Chair (ESRC) at the chemistry department, at King Saud University. ESRC aims to establish, facilitate, train, and deliver distinctive research and educational programs in all aspects of electrochemistry. ESRC has active national and international collaborations with the Sustainable Energy Technologies Center (SET) at King Saud University, King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), Institute of Advanced Materials, INAM, Universitat Jaume I, Castelló, Spain. He supervised more than 20 Ph.D. and MSc students and participated in more than 13 projects as PI and CoI. He published more than 120 papers and 5 patents.

Electrochemical behavior of metal oxides, preparation of nanoalloys, preparation and electrochemical characterization of novel nano-electrodes, and photocatalysis for energy conversion.
