Assistant professor at King Saud University (KSU) with a specialized background in Microbiology and Immunology. Holding a PhD from the University of Ottawa, Canada (2020) and a Master’s degree in Medical Microbiology from the University of Manitoba, Canada (2013). My research focuses on immune responses and cellular dysfunctions in conditions like Type 2 Diabetes, cancer, and viral infections, with numerous publications in high-impact journals, including the understanding of immune cell metabolism, viral immunity, and inflammatory pathways. I teach different courses such as immunology, medical virology, and microbiology and supervise student research projects at KSU, many of which have received awards. My expertise extends to consulting roles with the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), where I supervise projects. I am also involved in various university committees, contributing to advancing academic and research standards. I received the Excellence in Teaching Award from KSU in 2024 and have earned several research grants, including funding from the Saudi Food and Drug Authority and King Saud University.
