Economics is the analysis of how individuals and societies choose to use scarce resources to
satisfy human needs. Macroeconomics studies how economies work as a whole. In this
course we will explain certain macroeconomic phenomena such as output, growth,
unemployment, inflation, and international trade. In addition, we will also analyze the
strengths and weaknesses of the different government policies in influencing the overall
economy and the main economic tools that governments have at hand to stimulate growth.
This course is designed as an introductory course on macroeconomics, and provides
essential foundations to business graduates
