Advanced manufacturing technologies including: Reverse Engineering; Additive Manufacturing Technologies, Process Chain, Process selection, Software of Additive Manufacturing, DfAM. The selection process of RE and AM. Business opportunities and future directions.
Students should be able to apply the reserve engineering process and understands the use of its different techniques. This course also provides the students with the recent development of additive manufacturing technologies and their applications in different industries. The students also understand and apply the process chains of RE and AM in selected applications and review current literature. By the end of the course, each student should be able to:
- Understand and practice reverse engineering process, its technologies, selection and applications.
- Understand the Additive Manufacturing and practice the different technologies of AM at KSU.
- Understand the applications of AM and DfAM.
- Know how to select AMTs and conduct research work on them
