ME 363: Mechanics of Machines: •King Saud University
For any moving machinery, the speed and acceleration are related to the design of the prime mover. What are the effects of the length, speed, and acceleration of internal components and links inside the engine on the engine power? How to relate the speed of the piston motion of a car engine and its maximum moment to the power delivered to the crankshaft? What's the effect of the shape of the cam on the output motion of the mechanisms. The principles behind these questions will be the core of this course.
