Ali Altheeb is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at King Saud University. He was awarded the degree of PhD in structural and earthquake engineering at the University of Melbourne, Australia, in 2015, MSc degree with first class honours in concrete structures at the University of Melbourne, Australia, in 2011 and BSc degree in civil engineering at King Saud University in 2007. Since then, he has been involved in teaching and research projects. His main research area includes: structural dynamics, cementitious composites and geopolymer concrete, seismic performance of lightly reinforced concrete structures, earthquake hazard and risk assessment of structures in regions of low- to moderate-seismicity and experimental mechanics.
