RHS 462 - Speech and Language Pathology IV

This course covers two disorders: 1) cleft lip/palate and other craniofacial anomalies; and 2) cerebral palsy. The first part discusses the physical problems, symptoms, etiology, classification and nature of communication problems and other issues related to life quality in children with craniofacial anomalies―specifically cleft lip and palate―and cerebral palsy. In addition, it covers the assessment and treatment approaches including surgical management and speech-language interventions. The second part of this course covers the topic on cerebral palsy including basic information, causes, types, assessment, intervention approaches and other related topics.
