Dr. Alaa Albishi is an Associate Professor and Neurorehabilitation Consultant at King Saud University, specializing in motor control, neurophysiology, and rehabilitation of individuals with neurological disorders. Her research focuses on understanding human movement to enhance motor function, prevent injury, and improve quality of life in conditions such as stroke and Parkinson’s disease. Dr. Albishi investigates the neurophysiological mechanisms underlying motor learning and control, employing advanced neuroimaging and non-invasive brain stimulation techniques to explore brain–behavior relationships. She currently leads multiple clinical trials evaluating the combined effects of neurostimulation and neurorehabilitation interventions on functional and neurophysiological outcomes. Her work bridges basic neuroscience and clinical application, aiming to develop evidence-based strategies for optimizing recovery in neurological populations.
