The liberalization process has widened the sphere of share markets in India. It has permitted the Foreign Institutional Investors and Foreign Fund Managers to deal in our country. Capital market in India is endeavoring to standardize the practices at par with the global practices. The concept of Capitalist Economy is swallowing the other economies. The owners i.e., the shareholders are becoming more and more powerful and conscious to have a return over and above the market expected return on their investments. Therefore, in this era of liberalization, the corporates (including companies under public sector) are compelled to improve their fundamentals and internal performance to generate a return as per the expectation of the market. Hence, the hallmark of an institution, now- a -days, is to work for Shareholder’s Value Creation.
