The Attitudes of The Parents of Students with Intellectual Disabilities Towards Effectiveness of Distance Learning During COVID-19
The current study aimed to identify the attitudes of parents of students with intellectual disability towards the effectiveness of distance learning provided for their children during COVID-19 in terms of advantages and disadvantages. The participants involved (368) parents of students with intellectual disability in Riyadh city. Descriptive approach was used, and a questionnaire was designed to collect data. The questionnaire consisted (27) statements divided into two sections; distance learning advantages and distance learning disadvantages. The study also aimed to identify the differences between the participants' responses according to the variables of gender, age, educational qualification, and previous training. Findings revealed that the participants' attitudes towards the effectiveness of distance learning provided during the pandemic were moderate in general. In addition, there were statistically significant differences between the participants' means that could be attributed to age and qualification variable, while there were no statistically significant differences that could be ascribed to gender and previous training variables.
