Dr. Mona Soliman Al-Wahaibi is a Professor of Molecular Plant Taxonomy at King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She earned her Ph.D. in 2012 with a dissertation focused on the genetic diversity of Heliotropium digynum populations in the central region of Saudi Arabia, utilizing both molecular and non-molecular techniques.
Dr. Al-Wahaibi has held several significant academic positions, including Vice Chair of the Department of Botany and Microbiology and Assistant to the Vice Dean of the College of Science for Academic Affairs. Her involvement in the academic community extends beyond her own institution, as she frequently participates in national and international conferences, seminars, and workshops worldwide.
With over 100 published papers in international peer-reviewed journals, Dr. Al-Wahaibi is also a prolific author and an esteemed reviewer for notable journals in the fields of botany and biotechnology, including those published by Elsevier, Taylor & Francis, Wiley, and Springer.

Her research interests are primarily focused on the molecular characterization of plant species and exploring the applications of nanotechnology. Dr. Al-Wahaibi is an active member of numerous committees both within and outside her department. Her roles include serving on the Committee for Reviewing the Description of Science Programs for various university faculties, the Qiyas Committee for undergraduate biology program exam preparation, the professional licensing exam for biology teachers, and as an assessor for higher education institutions with the NCAAA.
