A novel crowdsourcing model for micro-mobility ride-sharing systems
English summary
A crowdsourcing model for micro-mobility ride sharing is proposed in which private owners supply e-scooters and e-bikes, shifting charging and maintenance from operators to a crowd of suppliers. The model links suppliers, customers and a management party for booking and demand matching. An agent-based simulation using more than 9 million e-scooter trips in Austin, Texas, with different battery ranges and fleet sizes, indicated the model is promising.
