The aim of this course is to introduce the following concepts:
1. Elementary logic
2. Methods of proof
3. Relations
4. Boolean algebra
5. Introduction to graph theory
6. Trees and their applications

OUTCOMES OF COURSE:
Outline fundamental concepts of mathematical logic 1.1 .

Describe how to represent relations in 1.2
various ways, and how to perform
operations on them.
Summarize certain basic concepts in 1.3
graph theory, some special types of
graphs, as well as some important typical
applications of graph theory.
Summarize certain notions related to 1.4
trees, spanning trees and algorithms of
find breadth-first and depth-first search trees, as well as typical applications of
trees.
Recognize basic properties of Boolean algebras and Boolean functions 1.5.
Design logic networks and optimize costs using different algorithms and techniques 1.6 .
