This course characterizes potential adverse health effects from human exposure to hazardous agents. Topics include principles of risk analysis such as risk assessment, uncertainty analysis, risk perception, risk communication, and risk management. Emphasis on exposure measurement, epidemiology, human toxicology, and ecotoxicology. The course will also cover legislation, regulatory standards, health-based guidance values, and regulatory policy.
