Dr. Abdulrahman Mirza is a Professor of Information Systems at King Saud University. His most-recent administrative position was as the Vice Dean of Academic Affairs at the College of Computer & Information Sciences. He previously held the position of the General Supervisor of the General Directorate of Teachers Affairs at the Ministry of Education. He also served as a Senior Advisor to the Minister of Education, and prior to that, to the Minister of Higher Education. He had also held other leadership positions such as the Director of Quality & Accreditation at the Saudi Electronic University, the Deputy Director of the Center of Excellence in Information Assurance, the Chairman of the Information Systems Department, and the CIO at the King Abdullah Foundation for Developmental Housing.
Dr. Mirza completed his Ph.D. in Computer Science at Illinois Institute of technology. Both his MS in Operations Research & Management Science and BS in Computer Science were attained from George Mason University. Research interests include e-business, software engineering, and information security. His research output includes over 80 international journal and conference publications.
