نبذة تعريفية / مختصر السيرة الذاتية

Bio:
Ali H. Alqahtani received the B.Sc. (Hons.) and M.Sc. degrees from King Abdul Aziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in 2001 and 2009, respectively, both in electrical engineering (electronics and communications). He has obtained his Ph.D. in electrical engineering (communications) from King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in 2016.
From 2001 to 2002, he was a network engineer in Saudi Telecom Company (STC). Since September 2002, Alqahtani has been an instructor with the Department of Electronic Technology at College of Technology at Abha (CTA), which affiliates to the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC), Saudi Arabia. From September 2010 to December 2017, he worked as an instructor with the Department of Telecommunication Technology at College of Telecommunications and Information (CTI), Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Since December 2017, he is currently an assistant professor with the College of Engineering, at  King Saud University, Al-Muzahmiah Campus.
His recent research interests include several aspects of wireless communication systems. In particular, he is interested in space-time codes, massive MIMO systems, spatial modulation, visible light communications (VLC), reconfigrable intelligent surfaces (RIS), and 5G techniques for wireless networks. His scientific record consists of numerous peer-reviewed publications, including ISI journals, and IEEE conferences. From 2015, Dr. Alqahtani also has served as a peer reviewer for many journals, and as a technical program committee (TPC) member for many conferences (including IEEE and others)
