My research focus is on combating multi-drug resistant bacteria by harnessing natural products for novel antimicrobials, bioactive agents, and advanced materials, while also uncovering resistance mechanisms applying molecular approaches. My work explores transgenic microflora for therapeutic applications, molecular detection for food safety, and microbe-human interactions in health and disease. Additionally, I develop biomaterials for medical use. At the intersection of healthcare, food security, and environmental biotechnology. I integrate synthetic biology, nanotechnology, and bioinformatics to drive innovative solutions for infection control and global health. I have been actively involved in research in Molecular Microbiology, Nano-biotechnology, Environmental and Applied Microbiology. I have undertaken several funded research projects successfully
