Amal Qassim Aldarwesh

Dr. Amal Aldarwesh is a researcher and faculty member in the Department of Optometry at King Saud University. She earned her Master’s degree in Pharmacology from King Saud University in 2009, before joining the King Abdullah International Medical Research Center and completing a Master’s degree in Bioethics in 2012. Later that year, she began her doctoral studies at the University of East Anglia within Norwich Research Park, earning her PhD in 2016.

Her research focuses on ocular biology and therapeutics, with a particular interest in how medications affect vision and ocular health. Her interests also extend to inflammatory and autoimmune conditions, alongside patients’ behaviours, attitudes, and perceptions related to health and treatment.
