This course provides students with required knowledge of modeling of digital systems in Verilog. It covers both combinational and sequential systems at the gate levels such as logic gates and flip-flops and the building blocks level such as full adders, decoders, shift registers, and finite state machines.

This course covers the design of MOS Transistors, Gates, Delay, Logical Effort, Sequencing Digital Logic, Synthesis, Chip Level Issues, MOS Circuit Design, Delay Models, MOS Memory, MOS Decoders, Gate Sizing, Adders ,Multipliers
Scaling, Packaging, and I/O

This lab helps students understand the content of CEN313. Students implement different types of digital systems, synchronous and asynchronous using SSI and MSI integrated circuits. A/D and D/A converters are used in some applications. Students also use Verilog as a way of describing their designs and use FPGA to implement such designs where CAD tools are used in such a process.
