Prof. Aldwayyan was a member of KSU scientific council and he was a member of establishing committee of King Abdullah Institute for Nanotechnology (KAIN). Prof. Aldwayyan was the head of the M.Sc. program of "Applied Nanoscience and technology" at KSU.
He was the vice dean of college of Science for development and quality and before that he was the chairman of Physics and Astronomy Department at KSU. He is now the supervisor of the photonics laboratory at KAIN/Physics a & Astronomy Dept.
