Career profile &Experience

Research:

Dr. AlAhmad Ph.D. dissertation was titled: Cognitive Development , Spatial Ability, and Achievement in Science Among Saudi Arabian Students.. She has supervised two Ph.D. students and nine masters.

Fields of research and published papers are attached.

Teaching:

Taught graduate students and supervised Ph.D. and M.S students Curriculum Development, Teaching Instruction, Instructional Media, Curriculum in Secondary Schools, Teaching Science, Muslims and Science, Thinking  development,

Seminar in Curriculum, Seminar in Teaching Science, New Trends in Teaching.

Taught undergraduate student courses National and International Organization, Recent Trends in Education, Extra Curricular Activities, Curriculum and Teaching Instruction, Problems in Teaching, Methods of Teaching Computer Science, Methods of Teaching Science, and Introduction to Teaching.

She had also conducted numerous workshops as per attached list.

Educational Management:

Held senior university positions, Vice Chairman of Curriculum and Teaching Instruction Department,. Director of Educational Diploma and Educational Training.,King Saud University, School of Education. Manager HR unit at the Center of Excellence for Science and Mathematics Education, and participated in numerous committees in the educational fields in SA. Highlights are attached

Prepared, implemented and participated and conducted workshops and seminars. List attached.

Ms. AlAhmad has attended numerous courses for self development including the following courses ,on-line , at Harvard University; Teaching for Understanding 1: Focus on Student Understanding -- Feb 2008 summer, 2008 and Teaching for Understanding 2: Understanding in Practice --May2008, Coach Development, August 2008. Other courses attended by her are attached.

Membership

Dr. AlAhmad is a member of the Saudi Educational and Psychological Association and actively working in various committees, she was the  Head of Standard 4 Committee- Teaching and learning (NCAAA), Olaisha Center and present /past member of 22 committees as per attached list.

 She is also a community volunteer worker with: Special Needs Association and Down Syndrome Association.
