English for Academic Purposes focuses on developing students competency through relevant academic contexts, a wider range of vocabulary and more advanced grammatical structures. Conversational skills are developed for participating in academic discussions through group discussions, oral presentations and listening skills practice. Writing and oral development through inferring attitudes, feeling and mood, and communicative competencies such as reformulation, comprise the aims and outcomes of the course. Students achieve advanced proficiency (B2 – C1) on successful completion.
