Bio
I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (Honours), Master of Physical Chemistry from King Saud University, and a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Leicester. Between 2007 and 2009, I worked a teaching assistant in Chemistry Department, College of Science, King Saud University. From 2009 until 2017, I was a lecturer at the Chemistry Department of King Saud University's College of Science. I am currently an assistant professor of Physical Chemistry at the Chemistry Department of King Saud University's College of Science. I teach in a variety of modules at different levels, from Foundation year to PhD level. General chemistry, nuclear and radiation chemistry, industrial chemistry, physical chemistry of solutions, thermodynamics, chemical kinetics, electrochemistry and chemical physics are the modules I teach. In addition, I supervise of a large number of undergraduate research projects as well as master's level projects. I also guide as the academic advisor for several undergraduate students. I am a member and coordinator of several committees in the department that do academic and clerical work, including the public relations and community partnership committee, the statistics committee, and the development and quality committee. I was the course coordinator at King Saud University's Common First Year College of Science (2021). I participate in numerous training courses in order to strengthen my teaching and research skills. I also participate in workshops as a presenter and/or organiser. I have attended and participated in a number of local and international conferences. I also have given and attended several public talks. I receive a grant from the King Saudi University's outstanding Scientist Fellowship programme as well as a grant from the King Saudi University's Researchers Supporting Project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The following are some of my research interests: 1) Kinetics; 2)Thermodynamics; 3) The photocatalytic degradation process; 4) Computational model theory; and 5) electrochemistry.
