ENG 426 Discourse Structure and Strategies:
The course provides an overview of the different approaches to the study of discourse. It focuses on particular areas of interest in the field such as the relationship between language and context, culturalspecific ways of speaking and writing, as well as ways of organizing texts in particular social and cultural situations. It also provides the students with tools to analyze a wide variety of discourse types.
