Eng 216 Reading Literary Texts

This course is an introduction to the defining characteristics and fundamentals of poetry, fiction, and drama. This course familiarizes the student with the skills necessary to read the three aforementioned genres as well as literary terms and concepts found in responses and interpretations of them. The course’s primary intention is to familiarize students with literature and help them develop reading skills necessary for becoming perceptive readers of literary texts.
