RHS 338 Geriatric Occupational Therapy

The course is designed to develop the understanding about the problems related to old age and the factors affecting the health and well being of aging people. It will present a comprehensive idea regarding the general aging process and theories related with it. It will provide elaborated ideas about the occupations of older people and their importance. The course will discuss all the assessment procedures and general interventions mainly preventive and Promotive; for wellness. The course will also cover some major neurological, psychiatric, orthopedic and cardiopulmonary conditions associated with old age and will discuss their Occupational therapy intervention in detail.
