General Geology

A general geology course typically covers various topics related to studying the Earth. Students begin with an introduction to Earth materials and their properties, such as minerals and rocks. Topics related to surface processes and landforms, including weathering and erosion. And geologic hazards, such as earthquakes and volcanoes, are also covered. Also, the internal structure and dynamics of the Earth, such as plate tectonics.
