This course was designed to accustom the students with the knowledge, attitude, and skills that are necessary to manage nursing administration, may it be in the academe, hospitals, or other health care institutions where the involvement of nursing role is essential in the health care delivery.
This course covers the various aspects of nursing management including the basics of interviewing and formulating strategic plans. Advanced nursing management skills will be integrated by discussing proven strategies, tools, and resources primarily needed to excel as nurse leaders. The course is comprised of the essentials of nursing management that affect the delivery of quality health care and the administration of health care programs. The course topics range from structuring effective meetings, staff development, promoting professional development, and establishing a culture of safety, to making plans for budgeting and policy.
